555 Team: An all female all Errigal cc group of ladies

It’s with great pride I get to introduce this next 555 team, an all female all Errigal cc group of ladies , its always good fun being out on the bike with them, never a drama ! get out and support 🙌 them , and wish them well.
Hi. We are Errigal’s Angels. A four woman team made up of Carmel Ferry, Caroline Curran, Amy Harkin and Mary Harkin. We are all members of Errigal Cycling Club. The quiet Members of the club it must be said. We all share a love for cycling, having a laugh and Cream buns.. so with a promise of a continual supply of cream buns along the route, along with the added bonus of no bog duties for some of us, we agreed to take on the Epic 555 ultra challenge.
Carmel and Mary were both part of a four woman team who completed the 555 in 2017. Although we both remember how tough it was, especially those lovely hills and lack of sleep, we both enjoyed the whole experience having lots of laughs and making great memories with great friends while challenging ourselves.
It wasn’t hard to convince Caroline to come on board with us this year. Caroline and Carmel are both keen adventure racers who also enjoy running , hiking and climbing mountains. Any of these two ladies could be seen on any road or mountain at any time. Both ladies have completed the Seven sisters skyline mountain race.
Mary enjoys doing the odd Triathlon now and again..
Amy, daughter of Mary, is adding youth and experience to the team. Amy has lots of experience on the bike having raced at underage level from U-12 right through to junior. At college she turned her hand to football and gym to keep fit. Thankfully she has agreed to get back on her bike again after a few years off to round up the Errigal Angels Team.
We are Looking forward to this year’s 555.Let’s hope the weather God’s will be good and the wind will be at all our backs.
